I'll say this rather briefly: those guidelines aimed at fostering creativity that have no support from research, are nothing more than commonsensical, useless crap. Just like saying "look, to find your destination in an unknown city, all you have to do is: right foot forward, left foot forward". I mean, of course! But not much is said about the actual direction!
